All About Eischens Yoga

Ommm. The practice of yoga is a wonderful workout for the mind and body. It connects your physical and mental being by combining external movements with internal discipline. Yoga builds strength and flexibility, while balancing the mind with breathing techniques or meditation. This form of exercise is beneficial to people of all body types and physical abilities—as a supplement to intense workouts, exercise for thin body types, athletes prone to injury, etc.

At Monkey Bar Gym, we specialize in Eischens yoga. This practice was invented by Roger Eischens, who studied yoga in India for 15 years and taught hundreds of students. Eischens is the only form of yoga that uses partner hands-on feedback. Each session teaches a natural, restorative way to re-align and rehabilitate the mind and body. Monkey Bar is the first gym in the country to integrate Eischens Yoga and balance activation into each workout!

Eischens yoga focuses on transformational work, which is a unique style of teaching that uses partner feedback in order to heal oneself. Roger Eischens challenged his students to move out of habitual ways of moving and thinking, which contribute to imbalance in the body. Working with a partner allows you to notice things that are difficult to see on your own, like your own misalignment. Eischens yoga emphasizes helping one another heal using partner feedback such as resistance, awareness, and micro-movements. Transformational work allows people to heal, balance, and realign the mind, body and spirit.

Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or a beginner to the practice, Eischens yoga is a great activity to try. Monkey Bar Gym classes are inclusive, supportive, and non-judgmental. Switch up your workout routine this season with Eischens yoga to exercise your full body and mind. Anyone is welcome!
